Siddharth and Me - 1

Yesterday when i was going to the market, i wished to take Siddharth along. The moment i asked him , he negotiated for a toy, i said if you really need one we will buy. When we were going i told Siddharth that we never negotiated with our parents for this. I said i am not saying it is bad i am just sharing this and i was amazed to hear his answer, you know Mume my kids will not come with me and will order me to buy the toy. We were just laughing and i was thinking how clear his thoughts are, When we reached market, i was relaxed as compare to the past when i am always in a hurry and focused on tick marking my list. From my teenage i have done this, and yesterday i wanted to enjoy the whole moment with my son. I was surprised to see this change in me and started enjoying it.

In the whole process i thought later that my son was very observant and was noticing each move of ours. The first stop was at the ATM and it was inside the bank, we took money and he said Mom the bank manager did not notice we came, took money and now we are going out. The second stop was at the tailor shop, when the tailor gave me a date of 16th june i said ok and Siddharth said; Mume you wear this on my play and ask him to give you early. The tailor agreed not on my suggestion but on seeing my son's love for me. He was shouting with joy oh you will wear a new one on my play. The next stop was at pastry shop where he ate pastry and we inquired for the toy shop. We could not find one, but my son found the slam attacks card for him at the stationery shop..

When we reached home back, i was feeling very happy to have fun with Siddharth, and was thinking these are the small memories to cherish. I hope when Siddharth will read this blog he will feel great that how happy his mom was that he decided to go with  her and made her day.

Our little explorers!!

Siddharth had been exploring new things always. I have seen that he never play/build any of the toy with the instruction written on it. He will make his new ways of playing with it and now Reet has joined his brother in this game of exploring. Where ever we took her, or when she goes for a morning walk with Siddharth she will look around the whole house and wants to touch everything. It reminds me that my dad says that kids should be left alone to explore on their, never stop them you be with them and support them. The more they explore the more sharp they will become. So, i look forward to do this with my kids. It is so beautiful when you see them exploring new things and enjoying. Having a gap of eight years between them makes the life more interesting. Reet has just discovered about her hands whereas Siddharth wanted to buy a wrist watch for himself.

We had just celebrated Siddharth's riding on his bicycle. Reet sat on her own yesterday, and as always i am behind the lens exploring these moments of joys with them, so that tomorrow when both of them will be on their own ways to explore the world, i will revisit to these memories through this blog and remember how beautiful and exciting the world of parenting is!!!

Woh Kagaz kee kishti...

Yesterday when i was taking Siddharth and Reet meet my Nanny who has shifted to gurgaon. It reminded me of my childhood days when we use to spend our summer holidays at her house in Punjab. A small memory of those nice days came in front of me and gave me a nostalgic feeling. Those were the days when my mom will pack our bags and yesterday i was packing Reet and Siddharth cloths. We use to take our school bag, where Siddharth took his chess and a book on amazing facts he was reading for his summer holiday work. How the time has changed, there used to be all my other cousin also with me. We all will have fun together and enjoy our summer. Our mom never knew what we are up to and Siddharth felt bored after some time as he was not getting any attention. Still i tried to make this one day memorable for both my kids with a hope that when they grow up they should also have a nice memories of their summer the way i had today and always get my eyes wet when i remember those old days.
