Woh Kagaz kee kishti...

Yesterday when i was taking Siddharth and Reet meet my Nanny who has shifted to gurgaon. It reminded me of my childhood days when we use to spend our summer holidays at her house in Punjab. A small memory of those nice days came in front of me and gave me a nostalgic feeling. Those were the days when my mom will pack our bags and yesterday i was packing Reet and Siddharth cloths. We use to take our school bag, where Siddharth took his chess and a book on amazing facts he was reading for his summer holiday work. How the time has changed, there used to be all my other cousin also with me. We all will have fun together and enjoy our summer. Our mom never knew what we are up to and Siddharth felt bored after some time as he was not getting any attention. Still i tried to make this one day memorable for both my kids with a hope that when they grow up they should also have a nice memories of their summer the way i had today and always get my eyes wet when i remember those old days.

Both are posing happily for me

Morning Walk with Siddharth!!

Siddharth is having his summer holidays, when he wakes up he will come to Reet and pick her up. She also looks forward to this time with Siddharth as she is most of the time in the bedroom. Siddharth will take Reet out and shows her the house. It is very interesting and imaginative the way Siddharth explains to Reet. I love the whole conversation and love Siddharth for being so creative and responsible that Reet should understand the whole thing. Here is typical the conversation goes, today i captured the same what Siddharth shared.
Siddharth: Reet our bedroom, this is your room you come her daily. Don’t be surprised at the mirror it is just a mirror it reflects us.
Reet this is Geeta Didi, she is also a human being like you and me. This is kitchen where mume cooks food for you and me.
Reet this is my room, this is my bed and this is my ball.
Reet this is mume’s office, and this is bathroom one bathroom I showed you, you know already and Reet these are plants. They also live like us they don’t speak and move. They feel.
Reet this drawing room and this is my Firefox cycle. This Buddha has 77 diamonds I have counted them (  I never noticed that Buddha has so many diamonds)
Reet this is TV room and this is guitar. Me and Papa has a separate guitar mine is smaller and Papa has big and this is another room.

Reet's First Toy!!

When i made this toy from the old hanger, beads of Siddharth and wood. I never thought Reet will enjoy playing with it from day i made and appreciate the efforts her mother has put in making it.. Today when she was showing me an expression of getting bored, i gave her the toy and she was thoroughly enjoying the same...

Today Morning
Completely engrossed from the day she got it..

I am Flying Part 1

Siddharth never rode a bicycle, and whenever i see other kids we always think will he ride a cycle. Then one day came and Siddharth also saw few of his friends riding a firefox and he wanted us to buy for him. Firefox means a big dent in the pocket, me and vivek who always had a bicycle not more than few hundred and here he was talking close to Five figures. It was an important decision to choose. Finally the firefox came and when today when of my friend was telling me that Siddharth learnt the bicycle in a very short time, i believe it was worth of spending those thousands, though it was the efforts which both father and son has put into it.

Day 1

Day 4

This last picture has lots of meaning to me where Siddharth is flying to new heights and Reet is here to hold us...

Indepedence...

Me:) Siddharth how are you feeling, after the birth of Reet
Siddharth:) Independent.

I could understand the meaning when he came home after the school. His laces were tied like this..
+
He found his own way of dealing with the laces.. and said very innocently..
आप जो बांधते हो वो खुल जाते है और मैं जो बांधूंगा वो खुलते नही..
Great going son..

Sports day, a day of demonstration of the physical activities, determination , sportsmanship and  how best they can balance their bodies.. This happens at the end of the academic year. I always look forward to it as it presents a lot of enthusiasm among kids and parents both. Yes we also go thru the whole activity...

The day started at 9 am, and me and Reet reached at 11am with my brother during the tiffin time of kids. The moment i reached we went to meet Siddharth and his whole class came out in seeing Reet in Vivek's lap. They all were so eager to meet her, to see her and everyone wanted to hold her. Each and every kid got excited and they happily posed for me.

Hi Reet!!

The start of this year is with the new life in our family.  After a labor pain of more than 12 hours I gave birth to my second child on Jan 7th, 2012.
Arrival at Cradle when she is still inside me
When doctor asked me to kiss the baby I kissed her and welcomed her with a warm smile in this beautiful world.   “Hi Reet “were the first words from me to her.  This name was thought before I conceived her. She is Reet (meaning of culture in Hindi is Reet), as she is going to bring the culture, tradition to our house.

The complete nine months has been a journey mixed of emotions, anxiety and adventures.  The first trimester was full of nausea, and the last two trimesters were full of adventure. Me, Vivek and Siddharth had great fun and always talked about her, how our life will be different and more beautiful when she will come.

And today when she is more than a month old, It seems that she was already there in our life. She is a cute little sister to Siddharth and his birthday present from me (It was Siddharth who persuaded me to go for the second child). I look upon her more as my companion in life, a cute little princess for Vivek.

We all are pleased with joy with this little angel in our life. The whole life is around her and nothing seems more important than to be just be with her for all of us.

This post is dedicated to this bundle of joy in our life, to these cute little feet who has come to our house and when I look at these ones, these are the words came to my mind..

मेरे घर आई एक नन्ही परी!!
